Oro-Medonte is the result of an amalgamation of the former Oro and Medonte Townships so it's quite large. It basically fills the space between Orillia and Barrie from Lake Simcoe up to Highway 12 and Highway 400. It includes some of the most picturesque rolling hills in Ontario, lovely waterfront homes and the ever-popular Horseshoe Valley.

Severn is the area immediately north and west of the city of Orillia. It includes waterfront properties along Lake Couchiching, rural and farm properties and the quaint Village of Coldwater as well as the shopping mall on Orillia's outskirts and some of the Orillia area's most prestigious developments..

Washago sits right at the top end of Lake Couchiching, about a 15 minute drive north of the City of Orillia. Known as the Gateway To Muskoka it is a very popular with cottagers and retirees alike. There is a complicated system of rivers that takes a bit of time to learn.

Located about 1 hour's drive north of Toronto, Orillia is close enough to be within easy reach of the big city, but far enough away not to be a bedroom community.

With miles of waterfront, large public parks, a Heritage Downtown and many other things going for it, Orillia is a great place to live and work.
Our City Hall, pictured here, is a perfect symbol of our industial past, and our promising future. It is the original Tudhope Factory, home of Canada's only successful independent car manufacturing company. Part of the building has been renovated for residential use and it was the temporary home of Lakehead University's new Orillia Campus.
